So to frame this as an answer to the original question (how to do this via Group Policy): You need to modify the Chrome shortcut that you use to launch Chrome from.
There is a way to do this for a single-computer (non-enterprise) Chrome install. Or, perhaps I should have read your statement as ' I have a situation that is different from the original poster's question (in that we have already rolled out Google Chrome, or have not done so in a controlled manner), and because my situation is different - the accepted solution doesn't work. I'm curious to know why 'most of us' do not want to the business edition of Chrome - especially if in an environment that is a part of a highly regulated industry. it does not exist for us.I don't understand why 'most of us' do not want to be able to centrally manage Chrome via Group Policy?
